You may notice that my deviantart account will go inactive for the next two years. Why? Is it because I'll neglect it, like so many other people do? No. It's because I'm leaving on a service mission for my Church for the next two years.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I will be going to Montevideo, Uruguay and spreadin' the good word. The rules and limitations on what I'm allowed to do are pretty strict. I'm not allowed to have any TV, any radio, any internet access, except emails from a controlled server. I'm allowed to bring music, but it has to fit certain guidelines that vary between mission areas. So, pretty much, I'm falling off the face of the Earth and putting my life on pause for the next two years.

But don't worry, I believe in what I'm doing, and even if you don't support the message I'm teaching, you at least have to admit that it takes an immense amount of sacrifice and dedication to do what I'm doing at the young age of 19.

I leave on the airplane to the Buenos Aires, Argentina Missionary Training Center this wednesday. I'm mostly worried about the flight down there, since I won't have anything to read but scripture, and it's about a 20 hour trip (with a nice long stop over in Dallas).

I'm gonna miss doing drawings of my friends' fursonas and other ribble-rabble that falls into my head, but I will be back, and most of my friends will still be here on the internets. And since I'll have little else to do in my spare time, I'll be using it to work on my drawing technique and stories.
